Welcome to Our Medication Database

This particular part of the website will eventually contain in excess of 300 types of medication covering major areas of health like the heart and mental health. Within each area you will be able to find many of the more commonly used drugs with a page dedicated to each one. The information provided has been closely reviewed and researched, and is updated as new information becomes available. We hope that this will make browsing our database, and finding what you want a breeze.

We have just opened our forum. If you are taking or about to take medication and you have some concerns join our forum and as we move forward our community may be able to tell you how they felt on a particular drug.

You don’t need to be on medication to join, you may be looking for herbal or complementary medicine tips, you may even have a recipe that may help others. You may have skin problems, a poor sleeper, anxious. If it is something that can help toward our site motto (a healthy mind and body) then join our forum and help our community to grow.

Please note: Information provided for each drug may not cover all possible disorders it is used to treat.

Driving and ill health: If you have a health condition and you live and hold a current driving licence in the UK it is your responsibility to inform the DVLA of your health problem. The Drivers Medical Group in the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has been set-up to establish whether drivers who have medical conditions are able to satisfy the medical standards required for safe driving. If you fail to tell them and you have an accident that can be shown to be the fault of your illness or the medication you take not only will it invalidate (if you have not informed them) your insurance, you can also leave yourself open to prosecution. This link will take you to an A-Z Guide of Medical conditions that could affect your driving.

  • What happens after you have told the DVLA about your medical condition.
  • If you wish to tell them that you have stopped driving.
  • Renewing your driving licence if it has expired or is expiring soon due to your health.
  • Renewing your driving licence if it has been revoked or surrendered due to your health
  • You can also find information on the above subjects Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency
