Skin Problem Recipes

Essential oils are aromatic essences made from leaves, flowers, berries, bark and roots of plants. Each oil has its own properties some are up-lifting and stimulating; other calming and sedating. If you have been recommended a particular oil but you find it is strong or overbearing don’t hold your hands up in the air in defeat. While all essential oils have their own qualities you will still be able to find an oil that does the same job, but is more pleasing to your sense of smell.

Smell is an important issue this is because some aromatherapists believe if your sense of smell is rejecting that particular oil there is a strong possibility that you will not reap the full benefits from it. For example: lavender is an excellent oil to use for sunburn if you find it overpowering then try tea tree as this oil can also ease the discomfort from sunburn. Tea tree is especially effective when paired with lavender oil and mixed in bottled or cooled boiled water (see spray bottle recipes).

From sunburn to cellulite these particular recipes help heal and soothe skin problems.
