Spray Bottle Recipes
There are several ways to apply the healing powers of essential oils. Using a spray around your home not only adds wonderful smells to your home but they also make great air purifiers.
Here in the UK winter time seems to go hand in hand with coughs and colds so lets start this page off with a recipe for viral infections, such as the cold/flu bug.

Hand held spray bottle
Fighting infection
- 2. Drops of cinnamon oil *
- 2. Drop of clove oil *
- 8. Drop of orange oil *
- 40ml. Water
Add the drops and the water into a hand held spray, shake before using. Spray around your room. Clove is a natural anti-spasmodic and expectorant making it an excellent oil for combating winter chills and colds.
Uplifting
- 7. Drops of mandarin oil *
- 2. Drops of pine oil *
- 1. Drop of cinnamon oil *
- 200ml. of water*
Dilute the drops with the water, pour the mix into a spray bottle and spray where needed. This blend of oils will bring a uplifting fragrance to any room.
Damaged Skin Restorative
- 6. Drops of chamomile oil *
- 1. Drop of tea tree oil *
- 2. Drops of melissa oil *
- 15ml. of water
Mix with the water then pour into a hand bottle with a spray atomizer attachment, Apply to the infected area regularly. This blend will help fight against damaging skin allergies. While the tea tree will help fight infection, chamomile and melissa will help soothe the affected area.
- 11. Drops of lavender *
- 5. Drop of tea tree oil *
- 80ml. of distilled water
Add drops in to cooled distilled water. Place your mixed recipe into a bottle with a spray atomizer attachment and spray sunburned areas whenever you feel the need.
Campers friend
- 8. Drops of lemon oil *
- 8. Drops of thyme oil *
- 30ml. of water
Mix with the water then place in a spray bottle. This recipe is one to make up and carry with you when you visit the great outdoors camping. If you spray this blend into your tent it will go along way to keeping those unwanted visiting bugs at bay
